NS Bikes Synonym TR 2

When NS Bikes launched the Synonym, people shook their heads in disbelief. This bike was a world apart from all other short-travel bikes. The ultra-slack head angle, massive reach, and very steep seat tube had never before been used on a short-travel bike. But the Synonym was the harbinger of a revolution. Today we all know that progressive geometry is the way to go—even on lightweight XC/trail bikes! The Synonym TR is a true game-changer. Radical geometry and a powerful 120mm fork in an ultra-light package offer the rider a unique experience. It tears up trails like nothing else on the market. All available alternatives either have outdated geometry or are heavy and slow to pedal.

Most riders who have tried this bike swear that they can ride just as fast on downhill trails as they can on their regular, “big” trail/all-mountain bikes. That’s because, unless you’re riding on extremely rough trails, the limiting factor is usually not the suspension travel, but the rider’s position on the bike and the way it rides. This amazing riding experience that riders report is confirmed by lap times and measured segments. In fact, this bike is so fast that many riders have chosen the TR version (with minor modifications) as their XC race bike instead of opting for the dedicated RC version. The TR model features a full-carbon frame with flex struts that eliminate the need for heavy pivot points.
